Kim Vastine opens this book divulging the abuse that she suffered at the hands of a relative and how it haunted her as an adult. She then found release through her faith in Christ and determined to identify herself as a child of God rather than a victim. Kim’s story is followed by a Bible study by Paige Henderson that effectively guides the abused reader on a journey from fear to courage.
The book is not intended to replace professional counseling but it will enable the woman who identifies with Kim’s story to recognize the wisdom of seeking wise counsel and a heart sister who will listen and pray with her. This book should be made available to teenage girls, crisis pregnancy centers and youth pastors.
